If the history and Western culture is appealing to students, then a student group tour to San Antonio, Texas would make the ideal trip for students. The city is filled with culturally significant arts, museums and architecture which provide educational fun for students. This Texan city has many museums such as the Alamo, San Antonio Museum of Art, and various Spanish Missions. In addition, San Antonio has major theme parks such as Fiesta Texas and the Schlitterbahn Water Park.

For students who are interested in art, San Antonio is also becoming known as the most interesting contemporary art scenes in the world. “American Style” magazine named San Antonio one of America’s top 25 cities for art. One of the more popular sites is the Alamo. Mission San Antonio de Valero, also known as the Alamo, was established in 1718 as the city’s first mission. The chapel is one of the most photographed facades in the nation. The Long Barracks Museum is located close to the chapel. The museum contains relics and mementos from the Republic of Texas and offers a narration on the fall of the Alamo.

The city also has an area called with River Walk which is lined with restaurants, galleries and shops. Students will be able to stroll along the river while seeing the beautiful Spanish architecture. Once a year the walled portion of the river is drained, this usually occurs in January. During this time the Riverwalk Mud Festival is held in honor of the event. This time of year is prefect for student travel, so they can see the Mud Parade, Mud Pie Ball and the Mud King and Queen Competition. Regardless of what students choose to do, student travel tours to San Antonio are guaranteed to give your students an experience that will last a lifetime.
